sinner.exe

sinner.exe is a tiny, deadpan idle game dressed as a program somebody forgot on a 1991 hard drive. All caps, box-drawing characters, a beeping speaker, and one stat sheet for one person whose life is quietly going wrong.

You start their timers and leave them running. They find things to believe in, pick up habits, borrow from people and lose jobs. The program keeps the books on all of it without any opinion. You keep checking back anyway.

QUESTIONS

Where is my save?

On your iPhone, inside the app. Nothing is stored anywhere else, so deleting the app deletes the save, and there is no way for us to recover it.

How do I start over?

When a life ends, the program offers the next one. To wipe everything, delete the app and install it again.

Why didn't I get a notification?

The game only asks once. Turn notifications on for sinner.exe in iPhone Settings, then start a session.

Who is it for?

Adults. It is rated 18+ and deals with dependence, debt, gambling and belief as a work of fiction and satire. It does not encourage any of it.
